Project type: Communication Design
Objective: Design a 4-page magazine spread on the topic of your choice. It must contain a headline, a deck, an introduction paragraph, three subheadings, a sidebar, and all the placeholder text provided.
Solution: I chose the popular anime Spy x Family and made the spread look like detective's board. The headline typeface was chosen to match the series' logo, and I chose a readable slab serif to give the main text a typewriter feel.
This project was done mainly in Illustrator and InDesign. I chose to paint the corkboard texture myself in Photoshop, rather than using a photo, because I wanted it to match the cell-shaded look of the rest of the imagery.
All the character art was taken from promotional art, show screenshots, and official character design sheets.
